Resources - Local Authority Brexit Exposure Dashboards

Brexit dashboards have been produced for each local authority in Wales by Grant Thornton and on behalf of the Brexit Transition Support Programme for Welsh Local Authorities

The dashboards cover the population and economic characteristics of each area and come with a ‘community vulnerability index’ based on factors such as:

  • levels of deprivation;
  • qualifications; and
  • percentage of people employed in elementary occupations which are thought to be most at risk

Within the profiles links are made to the Brexit Toolkit (which has also been produced by Grant Thornton) highlighting the actions likely to be of particular importance.

It is inevitable that with such a high level picture for whole local authority areas caution must be exercised, as within each area there are likely to be variations as well.

These dashboards will hopefully assist local authorities when determining where to target their scarce resources, as they develop their contingency plans.
