The WLGA’s Equalities and Social Justice Team have undertaken an exercise to establish the need for equality and diversity case studies to be developed for use in existing training courses. The exercise showed a clear need for such a resource, particularly for front line service providers within local government and as a result a number of case studies have been designed and developed. These free resources are available to download below and will be continually updated and developed, with more case studies being added.
The case studies that are currently available on the website have been designed and developed based on real life experiences and have been piloted with various groups and evaluated and further developed where necessary.
Each case study is supported with a detailed lesson plan and any handouts that may be required. They are designed to be flexible and to allow any training practitioner to adapt them to suit the training course that they have responsibility for delivering.
If you would like more information in relation to the case studies or wish to discuss any of the content and methodology please contact Anna Morgan (Training Advisor) via the email link below.
