Kathryn Kelly Biography
Kathryn works in the Leadership and Talent programme area at the Improvement and Development Agency. Supporting improvements in recruitment and retention in social care has been a key area of her work for several years. This has involved working in partnership with DH and DCSF as well as other key stakeholder organisations across social care. She was also engaged in the creation of the new Social Care Code of Practice for International Recruitment.
In addition to her occupationally specific work she is leading on a succession planning project for local councils and is supporting Beacon Councils on the Neighbourhood and Community Champions theme.
She has worked in local government for 13 years at a national level and within a local council. Prior to this she worked in the private sector in corporate finance and in a venture consultancy as a management consultant.
