The WLGA Social Services Policy Group (SSPG) exists as an advisory arm to the WLGA and to the WLGA Political Spokesperson for Social Services and Health. Its membership consists of cabinet members from each local authority in Wales with a responsibility for aspects of social services functions and is chaired by the Political Spokesperson for Social Services and Health. It meets annually with Ministers from the Welsh Government.
The North Wales SSPG has the same membership structure, but covers North Wales only, whilst a small cross party political group is made up of a cabinet member from each of the political groups that make up the WLGA. These are chosen from the list below.
