Communities depend on local authorities delivering key public services. It is now a commonly accepted principle that public service should share experience, expertise and “secrets of success” to achieve the highest standards of performance for the communities of Wales.
The All Wales Good Practice Portal is a single point of on-line access to good practice in the public sector. The Portal operates in a similar way to “comparethemarket.com” where the search topic will search all the partner sites for practice. In addition, users will be signposted to other useful links via partner sites. Work is ongoing to ensure all welsh public sector organisations which are promoting good practice and have resources to share are linked to the Portal.
The site is evolving and based on feedback will now include a resource section, which will include links to UK wide improvement organisations such as the Local Government Improvement & Development, the Improvement network etc. and a GPW partner only forum.
