Waste Awareness Wales is a WLGA and Keep Wales Tidy project funded by the Welsh Assembly Government. The initiative encourages people to think and act differently in respect of waste production and management, and promotes the benefits of waste minimisation, reuse, recycling and composting and the purchase of recycled products.
Waste Awareness Wales is also responsible for delivery of the national ‘recycle for Wales/ailgylchu dros Gymru’ campaign to increase public awareness of waste management and encourage the people of Wales to use their local recycling facilities.
