Future Trends Guidance has been developed to assist Local Authorities, and other organisations, that wish to hold Future Trends Seminars for their own officers and members. This guidance can be used in conjunction with the Futures information sheets and scenarios that were developed for ‘Futures’ master-classes for local authority Members and Senior Managers, held in March 2009. At the master-classes, delegates were provided with an overview of the potential impacts of a range of future trends on Welsh communities, including: global-local economy tension; energy security; food security; climate change adaptation; the need to move to zero waste; carbon reduction; obesity and health.
