The Association’s commitment to raising the profile of Social Services is well recognised and is set out clearly in the Nine Commitments. Its undertaking to demonstrate strong political leadership at local level was recently acknowledged in the Annual Report of the Chief Inspector for Social Services in Wales.
The Association has developed strong links and good joint working at national level with key organisations including the Association of Directors of Social Services Cymru (ADSS Cymru), the Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales (CSSIW), and the Care Council in Wales.
The Association is proud to play host to the Social Services Improvement Agency which was set up in 2006 to help accelerate the pace and breadth of improvement.
