This Network has been established as a support mechanism through which local authorities in Wales and other public sector bodies can come together and discuss strategic issues around the implementation of the Welsh language including promoting bilingualism within local government in Wales. The Network will also support the work of Language Officers and share information and examples of good practice and update colleagues on a range of issues and initiatives being addressed.
Format of Meetings
Meetings of the Network will be held quarterly.
Meetings of the Network will be organised and serviced by the WLGA; the agenda for meetings will be drawn up in liaison with the Chair(s) of the Rhwydiaith Network who will also Chair meetings of the Network.
