Since establishing the WLGA Regional Partnership Boards in 2006 the WLGA has maintained a Regional Collaboration Compendium which collates information about collaborative projects and joint working in Wales.

The large volume of material in each of our editions of the Compendium is clear testament to the commitment by local government and its’ partners towards the modernisation and reform of public services in Wales. Each of the entries provides an overview of what the project and/or programme entails, who the partners are, what it is seeking to achieve and who the relevant contact are.

Over time, the Compendium has become an extensive and well used resource, and we have refined the format, but all ‘static’ publications have their limitations. So having reviewed the purpose and content of the compendium, and with the help of the Local Government Data Unit - Wales, we’ve now taken the Compendium to a new level by converting it into a new user friendly and live web based tool where you scan refine your search to look, for example, at specific subject areas/services, or look at what’s happening in particular regions in Wales. This new site goes ‘live’ on 1st February 2011 at which point the older versions of the Compendium will be archived here.

If you have any queries regarding the system, then please call 0292 0909503 or contact enquiries@dataunitwales.gov.uk
