WLGA Statement in response to Taxpayers' Alliance Report:

WLGA Chief Executive Steve Thomas said:
“Local government offers good value for money. I hope people recognize that the people earning those sums are talented people doing a good job. If you went across to England, you would find that managers in the Welsh sector are paid much less than their Welsh equivalent.”
“Council services, like children’s services, housing, environmental health, waste management and education, need very competent people to run them. They don’t come cheap and they shouldn’t.
