WLGA response to proposed NHS changes
02 July 2008
This consultation response sets out the policy position adopted by the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) following detailed local and national debate within the twenty two councils in Wales and the WLGA Annual Council meeting on June 27th 2008.
Arising from the local government elections on the 1st of May 2008, councils across Wales represent a wide and multi faceted political configuration. The collective voice as detailed within this document therefore represents a true amalgam of wide party political views held amongst the senior politicians and chief officers within local councils on the proposals to reform the NHS in Wales.
