Performance of Local Services in Wales

Local government is responsible for a range of essential local public services on which the public depends.
As local authorities are responsible for billions of pounds of public expenditure, they should be held to account for their performance. The published performance data for 2007-08, showing how local authorities have performed against the national performance indicators, is the most important single annual source of performance information.
