The introduction of the Strategy for Older People in 2003 was a landmark in Wales and received international recognition for its vision and scope. Much of its success has depended upon the support of local government, the main deliverer of the Strategy in Wales. This report provides a snapshot of local government projects which demonstrate the tremendous range of work being undertaken to implement the aspirations of the Strategy, and show how these have been tailored to meet the local needs of older people.
