Local authorities help deliver economic development and improved prosperity to local areas. Vibrant sustainable communities are essential building blocks which require clear co-ordinated action from a range of partners who engage with communities themselves. Local authorities have a clear community leadership role to play in this process and crucially to the regeneration and renewal of communities - from physical improvements to the training and development of people.
