Protecting and fulfilling lives and futures
Local authorities have a central role to play in developing and delivering front line services for children and young people. Providing a balance of general and targeted services through integrated partnership working can make a real difference to a child or young person’s life and prospects. Local partnerships aim to ensure that children and young people have equal access to services and opportunities to fulfil their lives; develop as citizens and have a voice which is heard; have their welfare, well-being and rights protected; and are protected from abuse and harm through preventative actions.
