The WLGA is working with authorities to support new and returning members following the Local Government Elections in 2012. A range of materials and events are available or in preparation to support this.

Draft copies of the workshops are available now on the Welsh Member Support Officers Community of Practice. These will continue to be updated in line with changes in legislation and guidance from the Welsh Government.

5. Regional joint induction events on the developing roles of members in community leadership, collaboration and delivering effective Scrutiny.
6. The University of Glamorgan is planning an MSC qualification for elected members commencing 2013
7. The Association is also able to provide development opportunities on request depending on requirements for example:
