- Rhondda Cynon Taf: Stock transferred 10th December 2007 to 'RCT Homes'
- Torfaen: Stock transferred 31st March 2008 to 'Bron Afon Community Housing'
- Swansea: Tenant ballot against stock transfer in March 2007. The authority is currently considering its position
- Newport: Tenant ballot in favour of transfer in November 2007. Transfer to a new housing association ‘Newport City Homes’ in February 2009
- Conwy: Tenant ballot in favour of transfer in November 2007. Transfer will be to a new housing association ‘Cartrefi Conwy’ in September 2008
- Blaenau Gwent: Business plan demonstrates that resources available are insufficient to meet WHQS, ballot of tenants planned autumn / winter 2008
- Ceredigion: Tenant ballot in favour of transfer in November 2008. Transfer will be to a new housing association 'Tai Ceredigion'. The process should take approximately 12 months
- Gwynedd: Business plan demonstrates that resources available are insufficient to meet WHQS, ballot of tenants planned summer 2008
- Merthyr Tydfil: Merthyr Tydfil has balloted and has approved transfer of its stock to 'Merthyr Valley Homes' in January 2009
- Carmarthenshire: Business Plan demonstrates that the authority can bring properties up to WHQS and maintain the standard with their own resources. Stock to be retained
- Denbighshire: Business Plan demonstrates that the authority can bring properties up to WHQS and maintain that standard from their own resources. Stock to be retained
- Powys: The authority is continuing to work towards meeting WHQS on the current understanding that it is likely to retain their housing stock
- Cardiff: Business Plan demonstrates that the authority can bring properties up to WHQS and maintain that standard from their own resources. Formal approval of the Business Plan is still awaited from WAG
- Pembrokeshire: Business plan to support stock retention approach under annual review
- Isle of Anglesey: Business Plan demonstrates that the authority can bring properties up to WHQS and can maintain that standard from within their own resources. Stock to be retained
- Vale of Glamorgan: Business Plan demonstrates that the authority can bring properties up to WHQS and maintain that standard from their own resources. Formal approval of the Business Plan is still awaited from WAG
- Caerphilly: Stock options appraisal process underway
- Flintshire: Flintshire County Council's preferred option is to retain the council housing stock in it's ownership. Under the current national public housing financing regime and given the outcomes of the local housing stock condition survey, the Council is not able to demonstrate a robust and deliverable business plan to support this option. The Council is currently in discussion with the Welsh Assembly Government over a local strategic housing review to resolve outstanding issues which prevent the council and the Tenants Federation from making a final decision on whether to proceed to ballot
- Neath Port Talbot: Business plan submitted to WAG. Option appraisal process underway. Stakeholder group of tenants, councillors and employees / trade union being established to recommend way forward to council
