The Welsh Local Government Association welcomes the opportunity to respond on behalf of the local government family to ‘Sustainable Social Services: A Framework for Action’. This response contains ambitious proposals for change and improvement which build on existing strong foundations and provides a robust platform for delivering the central aims of reducing complexity, whilst achieving sustainable citizen centred services for the people of Wales. In order to deliver such significant change policy stability is essential and we expect Sustainable Social Services to remain the primary agenda for social services in Wales.
