The WLGA welcomes the opportunity to comment on the proposed guidance for suspending the right to buy in areas of housing pressure. There is widespread recognition that housing need and homelessness in Wales are rising rapidly at a time when investment in affordable housing is declining. We therefore welcome the assistance that suspension of the right to buy/acquire will provide.
