Excellence Wales, is the new award scheme for Welsh authorities. The scheme, sponsored by the Welsh Assembly Government, aims to capture and celebrate good practice in Wales, but more importantly create opportunities for the “sharing and learning” of good practice from across Wales and the UK.
The key principle of Excellence Wales is that “everyone is a winner”. Local authorities will be supported through the application and assessment process. Successful local authorities will work with the WLGA to share their experiences with their peers with the aim of improving services across Wales.
