The Welsh Local Government Association’s Equalities and Social Justice Team is the lead support agency for local government in Wales on equalities issues. As part of its work, the Association commissioned consultants in early 2011 to undertake a training needs analysis (TNA), in order to explore how the training requirements of the Equality Act 2010 will be met by the local authorities in Wales and the wider local government family and to identify any associated support needs. The research engaged a sample of Local Authorities, Police Authorities, Fire and Rescue Authorities and National Park Authorities in Wales (13 in total) during late August / early September 2011.
