The WLGA works to embed equality and social justice principles across the work of local government. The WLGA provides dedicated policy development support, strategic planning and training and learning opportunities to promote equalities within local government. The WLGA also leads on a wide-ranging equalities and social justice brief including housing, older people, community safety, child poverty, asylum seekers and refugees and relations with the voluntary sector. The WLGA also hosts the Better Government for Older People Co-ordinator for Wales.
