This report was commissioned by the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) to look at the effectiveness of recycling food waste via separate food waste collections. Three authorities were selected for this survey (Denbighshire, Carmarthenshire & Rhondda Cynon Taf). This intermediate report gives the findings for the waste compositional analysis undertaken during May 2010 which is part of a larger overall project covering waste disposal behaviour.
