Equality Improvement Framework for Wales: Pilot Projects

January 2010

After considering all of the applications submitted the following three local authorities have been chosen to work on the Equality Improvement Framework Pilot Projects:

  • Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council will work on: Identifying values, vision and priorities for equality
  • Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council will work on: Developing a self assessment process for EIF
  • Flintshire County Council will work on: Setting local equality targets

In January 2009, Paula Walters and Anna Morgan from the WLGA’s Equalities and Social Justice Team will have scoping meetings with each of the successful local authorities to discuss how their projects will now go forward and to identify the next steps.

No bids were received for the pilot project: Using the Ffynnon system to support and monitor the implementation of EIF. However, other opportunities to develop this area will be explored in consultation with local authorities
