The Health & Well being Team have developed strong partnerships with others agencies in the health improvement family, both within and outside Wales.
We have produced a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Public Health Service, and continue to work effectively at national and local levels. We have also worked with the Wales Centre for Health on a number of projects and with the Data Unit to offer specific capacity building support. We have made connections with several policy areas within the Assembly Government to ensure constancy of support, including those in the Office of the Chief Medical Officer and the NHS Regional Offices.
The Health and Well Being Team continues to providing Local Government input to a number of national working groups across the preventative agenda.
We provide the Secretariat for the Directors of Public Protection Wales-further details on the work of this group can be found here.
We have collaborated closely with our colleagues in the Confederation of Scottish Local Authorities on approaches to health improvement through local authorities and with those leading on health related issues at the LGA in England.
