The Children’s Commissioning Support Resource (CCSR) is a joint venture between the Welsh Assembly Government, the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA), the Association of Directors of Social Services in Wales (ADSS Cymru), the Care Standards Inspectorate in Wales (CSIW) and, the Local Government Data Unit - Wales.
The central aim is to provide local authorities with information about placement provision, services and location, across Wales and neighbouring areas. This will enable authorities to commission targeted services for looked after children.
The first phase of CCSR was the development of a secure database accessible via the internet, which provides up to date information on Providers, Care Settings and Vacancies available in the public, independent and voluntary sectors.
