The government is currently carrying out a review of local government funding.
There has already been a year-long review into the balance of funding for local government between the Council Tax and other sources of funds, chaired by Nick Raynsford MP. A parallel consultation was undertaken in Wales. There are links to the consultation document and the WLGA’s response to it from this page.
The next stage in the review is an Inquiry run by Sir Michael Lyons. The WLGA will have the opportunity to give evidence to the Inquiry.
