All-Wales Community Safety Forum

The All Wales Community Safety Forum was established in October 2005 following a recommendation by the Welsh Affairs Committee in its, Report into the Police, Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour in Wales (March 2005). The purpose of the Forum is to enable community safety issues to be addressed between key partners on a strategic and all Wales basis and to provide an arena through which best-practice and innovation can be disseminated across Wales.

The Forum is made up of key representatives from a wide-range of organisations in Wales including Local Government, the Welsh Assembly Government, the Home Office, the Police Service, the Fire Service and the Probation service.

The WLGA’s Chief Executive, Mr Steve Thomas, is the current Chair of the All Wales Community Safety Forum. The Association also provides the secretariat to the Forum.

Copies of the Forum’s Terms of Reference, membership, agendas and minutes will be published on this page of the WLGA website.
