This document outlines the role of the Trading Standards Service in Wales, how it interacts with partners and how it provides a vital role in the protection of consumers and legitimate business. It also considers how it views the changes that are being proposed as a result of the Government’s Comprehensive Spending Review announced in the Autumn 2010, by the BIS Consumer Landscape Review, and the Review of the delivery of a range of services currently provided by local authorities in Wales announced by the Welsh Assembly Government’s Minister for Social Justice and Local Government in September 2010.
